The Batches Page in AceDraft for Teams: Current, Expired and Buying More
Gowri Shanker·Sep 23, 2026
Batches is a thin page. Two lists of cards and one button, and I'd rather say that up front than dress it up. I haven't watched it run. I read its code on 19 September 2026, and everything below is what the code says. One of those buttons starts a real payment, so I'll point at it before you find it by accident.
Key takeaways
- Current and Expired are the whole page.
- A batch is defined by three things the purchase card names: seats, months of validity, and free exports for each user in it.
- + New batch opens the purchase panel in place. The same button then reads Close.
- Expired cards aren't links, so a batch that lapses has no door into it from this page.
- Limitation: every number here loads from the server, so I quote none of them.
Prerequisites. An enterprise admin account, and an organisation already created. The backend route that returns these lists requires the admin role, and an admin with no organisation gets two empty lists back.
What a batch actually is
If you only want the definition, read the purchase card. It names three things per tier: seats, months of validity, and free exports per user. That's the shape of a batch. You give it a name when you buy it, and that name is what you'll be reading on this page for as long as the batch runs, so make it the one you'd say out loud.
Seats used is counted from the people actually attached to the batch, not from a number you set.
Current and Expired
Go to Current when you want to do something, and Expired when you want to know what happened. Current sits under a heading of that name and holds one card per active batch. Each card shows the batch name, falling back to the plan name with the word "batch" after it when you left the name blank. The plan name also sits in the corner of the card. Under that: seats used out of the seat limit, and an expiry date when the batch has one.
At the bottom of every current card is Manage users, which opens that batch's own page. That's the only way in from here.
Expired cards carry the name, seats used out of the limit, and the word "expired". No link. The heading only appears if you have at least one. With no active batches, Current says so plainly.
If the list can't load, you get a red bar saying so instead of a silent empty page.
Buying another batch
+ New batch toggles a purchase panel open above the lists. It's the same tier cards you saw during onboarding, in the same component, so I won't repeat that walkthrough. Name the batch, pick a tier, and the Buy button opens a checkout.
That checkout is live money. I read the code and stopped there, and I've never put a payment through it.
When a purchase does complete, the panel closes itself and the list reloads, so the new batch appears without you touching the page.
What expiry looks like to a student
Expiry isn't silent on the student's side. The sign-in code attaches a notice to any batch user whose membership is no longer active. It says their batch access has expired, that some features are restricted until it is renewed, and that they can migrate to a personal account in Settings. They still get a token and still sign in.
I'd read that as the honest version: access narrows, the account survives, and there's a named exit.
Who this page is for
Use it as the admin who buys seats and needs to know how many are left in each batch. Skip it if what you actually want is to add, remove or chase a single student. That lives one click deeper, on the batch's own page behind Manage users.
