The Wallet Usage Calculator in AceDraft for Teams: What It Does and Doesn't Subtract
Gowri Shanker·Sep 23, 2026
The line under the heading on this page says it estimates what to keep in your wallet after free credits run out. The arithmetic below it does no such subtraction. I haven't watched it run. I read its code on 19 September 2026, and everything here is what the code says.
Key takeaways
- Two boxes, one figure: Users multiplied by Paid exports / user multiplied by a fixed per-export rate.
- The rate and the currency are not typed by you. They arrive from the server and show as a dash until they do.
- Nothing here is a payment. No money moves, and nothing you type is saved. Leave the page and it's gone.
- Limitation: the word "paid" in the second box is doing quiet work. Subtracting free credits is your job, not the calculator's.
Prerequisites. An enterprise admin account with an organisation created. The estimate route behind this page is admin-only, and an admin with no organisation gets an error asking them to create one rather than a zero.
What the suggested figure is made of
Read the small grey line under the big number before you read the big number. It spells the whole calculation out: users, exports per user, rate per export. Nothing else feeds it.
The rate comes from the server, priced for the country you appear to be browsing from. There's no box to change it, which I think is right: a rate you can edit is a rate someone edits by accident and then quotes in a budget meeting.
The Users box is overwritten as soon as the server answers, with a count of every student attached to your organisation's batches. That count has no filter on it. Students in an expired batch, and students who were moved off to personal accounts, are still in the number.
Put a number below one in Users, or a negative in exports, and the figure drops to zero with a red line under the box.
Free credits are a subtraction you make yourself
Free credits really are spent first. An export checks the student's batch credits before it touches the wallet, and it only charges the wallet once those are gone.
The calculator knows none of that. It multiplies the three values and stops, so if you put your total expected exports into the second box, the figure you get back is funding exports that would have been free. Put in the exports you expect beyond the free ones each student was given.
Heads up. The currency shown here is priced for your current location. Your wallet has its own stored currency, and the two can disagree. The wallet page checks for that before offering you a fill button. This page does not check, so confirm the currency label matches your wallet before you treat the figure as a target.
Who this page is for
Use it as the admin who has to name an amount and would rather name one with a reason behind it. Skip it if you just want to see where your balance stands or put money in, and go to the wallet at /enterprise/wallet, which is where the estimate becomes something you can act on.
